In collaboration with the versatile soprano soloist Radoslava Vorgić Žuržovan, Darko Karlečik orchestrated the creation of a distinctive project entitled “Voice and Marimba.” This initiative aimed to engage emerging Serbian composers, inspiring them to write original compositions for soprano voice and a five-octave Marimba. Following a selection process, four of these innovative compositions were chosen for performance during a three-concert tour across prominent Serbian cities, including Subotica, Zrenjanin, and Novi Sad.
The successful realization of this Project was made possible through the generous support of SOKOJ (Organisation of Music Authors of Serbia), underscoring its commitment to advancing musical innovation and collaboration. The “Voice and Marimba” project not only showcased the artistic synergy between Radoslava Vorgić Žuržovan and Darko Karlečik but also fostered a platform for the exploration and promotion of contemporary works by talented Serbian composers.
